What this archive documents
This is a forensic record of cases where the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) has silently modified or withdrawn JFK assassination records after their announced public release — without notice, announcement, or any acknowledgment.
Each case below preserves the version NARA released publicly, alongside the (often heavily reduced) version NARA currently serves at the same URL. SHA-256 hashes are provided so anyone can independently verify the files are bit-for-bit identical to what we archived.
These changes were detected by comparing the version of each PDF we downloaded on the day of its official release against NARA's current live file. The pattern was not announced by NARA and is not visible to anyone without an archive of the original release.

- JFK Assassination System Identification Form (cover sheet)
- Six FBI "Postponement Information Sheets" stating "Page(s) withheld entirely at this location in the file", each citing JFK Records Collection Act §6 grounds
- The same 2-paragraph Fair Play for Cuba Committee boilerplate appendix repeated 3 times
- A few admin routing pages with copy distribution lists
What NARA removed (present in the Jan 30, 2026 version, absent today)
- SA Richard McIntosh's 5/19/1967 San Francisco Field Office surveillance report on Peter Camejo
- Confidential source reports dated 5/16/1963, 5/20/1963, 2/6/1964, and 4/13/1964
- The 4/28/1969 San Francisco follow-up report
- Subject activity observations (residence, employment, contacts, leaflets obtained 1/9/1967)
- Distribution metadata to ACSI, ONI, OSI, SEC, SEN, STATE
